José Saramago in one of his masterpieces says: "Words were not given to man in order to conceal his thoughts".
I could stop here, but I could not stay indifferent to the hospitality, generosity and nobleness of Portuguese people. The Quercus suber, or cork tree (declared the official national tree of Portugal in 2011), and one of the most famous writers and my favorite Nobelist José Saramago, who in his book Blindness describes brilliantly the INDUSTRIAL SICKNESS through his metaphors, were my inspiration to realize another mosaic record made of cork.
THANK YOU, Portugal, for entrusting me with this gigantic mosaic, not nearly as big as your generous soul.
